revised the deadline for developers in India to integrate their apps
with its Play billing system, and extended the deadline by six months.
The revised deadline is March 31, 2022. Google had previously stated
that apps that choose to sell digital content through its Play Store had
to use Google Play billing system and pay 30% of the in-app purchase as
a fee. The charge is not applicable for cases like payment for physical
goods, bill payments & content subscription via developer's own
website, and they do not require Google Play billing system. The policy
is applicable only if a developer charges users to download their app or
sells an in-app digital item.

Google Play billing system supports more
than two-hundred-ninety forms of payment globally.
:::According to a study by Energy & Resources Institute, it is estimated that the ecosystem services provided by National Zoological Park (New Delhi)
generated a total revenue of approximately Rs.422.76 crore in
2019-2020. The study was commissioned by the Central Zoo Authority and
as per the study, 77% of the contribution came from the recreational
& cultural services of the zoo, and 9% of the contribution came from
education & research. The study also reported the footfall of
19,19,568 foreign tourists & 26,92,730 domestic tourists during the
period 2018-2019.

The National Zoological Park is a house to
seventy-three Indian species and it includes twenty-six exotic species
of mammals, birds & reptiles.
:::Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO)
successfully tested "Supersonic Missile Assisted Release of Torpedo", a
missile assisted release of lightweight Anti-Submarine Torpedo System
for warfare operations beyond torpedo range. Supersonic Missile Assisted
Release of Torpedo, also known as SMART, was tested at APJ Abdul Kalam
Island off the Odisha Coast. SMART is a hybrid missile with a range of
over six-hundred kilometers. It incorporates technologies of two
different weapon systems, making it faster & stealthier. Rajnath
Singh, Minister of Defence of India, congratulated DRDO and called this a
major technological breakthrough for stand-off capability in
Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW). Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, Chairman of DRDO,
also issued a statement and called SMART a game changer technology
demonstration.

Technology required for SMART has been developed by;
Defence Research Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad; Research
Centre Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad; Aerial Delivery Research &

:::The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institute, Sweden, in its press release, announced that they have decided to award 2020 Nobel Prize in Physiological & Medicine
jointly to Harvey J. Alter, Michael Houghton and Charles M. Rice, for
their discovery of Hepatitis C Virus - a virus that causes cirrhosis
& liver cancer in people around the world. The discovery revealed
the cause of the remaining cases of chronic hepatitis and made blood
tests & new medicines possible.

Their discovery has raised hopes to
save millions of lives and eradicate Hepatitis C Virus from the world
population.
:::According to data released by Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI),
the asset base of the Mutual Fund industry rose by 12% to Rs.27.6 lakh
crore. Vidya Bala, co-founder of Primeinvester.in, said that the growth
on a quarter-to-quarter basis was a result of market rebound. The data
by AMFI also showed that the Average Asset Under Management (AAUM) was
at Rs.24.63 lakh crore in April-June quarter of the year 2020. Omkeshwar
Singh, Head of RankMF at Samco Securities, said that the AAUM of September
quarter is higher compared to the June quarter due to appreciation in
the value of existing holdings in equity oriented funds.

of; SBI Mutual Fund increased by 15.6% to Rs.4,21,364 crore; HDFC Mutual
Fund increased by 5.4% to Rs.3,75,516 crore; ICICI Prudential Mutual
Fund increased by 10.3% to Rs.3,60,049 crore; Aditya Birla Sunlife
Mutual Fund increased by 11% to Rs.2,38,674 crore; Nippon India Mutual
Fund increased by 11% to Rs.2 lakh crore; Kotak Mutual Fund increased by
14.5% to Rs.1,91,598 crore; and, Axis Mutual Fund increased by 16.3% to
Rs.1,56,255 crore.

:::Nepal Army
constructed a 550-metre long & 2-metre wide patch on
Dharchula-Chhangru bridle path. With this, Tinkar (near Tibet border)
& Chhangru (near Indian border) are now connected with each other
and also with Dharchula Headquarters. A total of sixty army personnel
and forty-five laborers were deployed, who completed the project within a
short period of four months.

The cost of the project was Rs.1.08 crore.
::In order to protect the American workers, the Donald Trump Administration
has announced some latest restrictions on the H-1B non-immigrant visa
program. The program requires a foreign worker to have a degree in the
'specialty occupation' that he/she applies for. The new program enhances
the department's ability to enforce compliance through worksite
inspections and monitor compliance before, during & after an H-1B
petition has been approved.

visa programs take effect in sixty-days.
:::After reporting an escalating cluster centered around a garment's factory in the capital's suburbs, the Sri Lanka Government
widened curfew in the country and warned its citizens of a legal action
against those evading the treatment for Covid-19. Dr. Sudath
Samaraweera, Chief Epidemiologist, said that the new cluster poses a
greater risk of spreading the virus in the broader society as compared
to the previous cluster of Sri Lanka.

celebrated its 88th Foundation Day with fifty-six aircraft for aerial
display and eleven jets on static display. The name of participants

Aircraft - Tejas LCA, Jaguar, Mig 29, Mig 21 & Sukhoi 30;
Helicopter - Mi17V5, ALH, Mark 4, Chinook, Mi 35 & Apache; and,
Planes - C 17, C130, Dornier & DC 3 Dakota.
Rakesh
Kumar Singh Bhadauria, Air Chief Marshal, commended all the air
warriors for their quick response in the recent stand-off on the
northern frontiers. He also said that the tenacity & resolve of
their air warriors ensured that the IAF could continue to retain its
capability to undertake full-scale operations throughout the period of
Covid-19 pandemic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished IAF and said that
their courage, valour & dedication to protect Maa Bharti inspires
everyone. President Ram Nath Kovind said that he is confident that in
the years to come, the IAF would continue to maintain its high standards
of commitment and competence. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed
his commitment for the enhancement of IAF's combat capability through
modernization and indigenization.

Motor India, believes that Gloster will establish a new benchmark while

:::A team of researchers from the University of Edinburgh discovered multiple complete skeletons of Oksoko Avarsan.
It is a new species of toothless, two-fingered dinosaur that lived more
than sixty-eight million years ago. They were omnivorous creatures who grew to
around 2-metres long and had only two functional digits on each forearm.
The discovery that they could evolve forelimb adaptations suggests that
the group could alter their diets & lifestyles, and that it enabled
them to diversify & multiple.

Dr.Gregory Funston, from the School
of GeoSciences of University of Edinburgh, led the study and said that
the discovery revealed some unexpected trends that were a key piece in
the puzzle of why oviraptors were so diverse before the extinction that
killed the dinosaurs.

(Maoist) and propaganda material & literature of CPI (Maoist) from
his possession. Stan Swamy has been found in contact with conspirators,
namely: Sudhir Dhawale, Rona Wilson, Surendra Gadling, Arun Ferreira,
Vernom Gonsalves, Hany Babu, Shoma Sen, Mahesh Raut, Varavara Rao, Sudha
Bharadwaj, Gautam Naulakha and Anand Teltumbde.
