Jim and Dwight have teamed up numerous times. They have come together in the series and the makers have also made various references to both of them teaming up before the crew started shooting the documentary.

Jim and Dwight Shrupert - The Dynamic Duo - have played pranks, closed important sales, and saved each other from the worst situations.
Todd Packer, a traveling salesman, is a bully who often visits the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. He insults everyone, cracks vulgar jokes, and seeks apologies by doing everything wrong that he did in the first place. It becomes difficult to tolerate him and to get him out of the office every time he visits the office.
In the eighteenth episode of season seven, he decides to leave his traveling-sales-days behind and become an "indoor cat". Holly interviews him and Michael allots him to Dwight's desk even though everyone is against the idea of hiring him.
Jim and Dwight join forces and decide to kick him out.
They make a prank call to Todd Packer and fake themselves as employees of Florida Headquarters. During the conversation over call, they ask him to leave the Scranton branch and join the headquarters in Florida. Michael catches them in the act and goes to tell Todd that it was a prank. Michael starts to speak but Todd interrupts and begins to insult Holly, Michael's girlfriend. Michael decides to become a part of the prank and lets him leave for Florida.

Jim and Dwight Shrupert also close sales together. In the thirteenth episode of season three, Michael teams up his sales staff and sends them to the field to close their respective leads. He teams up Jim and Dwight together. Both of them understand each other and know which tactic to use at what time.
Jim starts by offering a discount to the client. When Dwight sees that the tactic is not working, he immediately decides to highlight their customer service. The moment Dwight dials the phone, Jim figures out what he is up to and re-focuses the conversation to customer service.
Both of them close the sale and go on to prove that Dunder Mifflin, Scranton, is the best paper supplier in town. And yes, the way they close the sale is awesome.

In the fourteenth episode of season eight, Andy asks Dwight to make a team of salespeople that he would like to take to Florida for a special mission: help Corporate launch Pyramid; and, set up an exclusive offline store.
Ryan, who was originally asked to deliver the presentation during the launch, panics and runs away to meet his mother. Dwight, who could have asked anyone to step up, chooses to go with Jim even though Jim was removed from his duty after some bloggers caught him using a device other than the Pyramid. Dwight explains to Jim how important the presentation is and Jim agrees to deliver it. The presentation & the launch conclude successfully and Dwight gets noticed as a potential Vice President candidate.
Jim later finds out that Robert intends to fire the entire team and saves Dwight from the disaster.
That is not the only time when Jim & Dwight proved how close both of them were to each other, and we will now come to the point that i am here to talk about.
Cathy, Pam's replacement, has feelings for Jim. In the sixteenth episode of season eight, she tries to seduce him while they are in Florida as a part of Dwight's dream team for the big launch. Jim asks her to leave. She tries to convince him that he probably misread some moments. Jim understands that it will be difficult to get her out. This is when he plans a prank and calls Dwight to his room saying that his bed has a bug.
Dwight does not want the bugs to reach Schrute Farms and spoil their biggest attraction, 200-year-old mattresses, and hence, he runs to get rid of them. He does not find a single bed bug but reads the situation and realizes why Jim called him up. Therefore, when Jim calls him the second time, he rushes to his room fully equipped with chemicals and gets her out of the room by spraying those chemicals everywhere. Since he has sprayed chemicals everywhere in the room, Jim is left with no other option but to change the room.
"Bunk with Cathy", says Dwight, and Jim smiles after Dwight leaves. The next shot shows Jim and Dwight lying on a bed together in Dwight's room.
So yes, both of them pull a prank together, and to keep it interesting, the makers avoided showing that both of them were in it together.
