Listeners across 170 countries can now support their favorite artists and enjoy their new content by purchasing a subscription for an individual show or a group of shows. They would also be eligible to receive additional benefits like early access and ad-free listening. A subscriber would have an option to share the account with his/her six family members and play the content on Apple Watch & Apple TV devices.

The expansion of Apple Podcasts Subscription benefits its creators too. The creators can now offer paid subscriptions to more listeners and offer perks like unedited footage & archives.

A user may become a creator on the platform by becoming a member of the Apple Podcast Program. The membership costs ₹1,799/- per year in India and $19.99 per year in the United States of America. Once eligible, the creator would earn up to 70% of the revenue. The remaining 30% would be retained by the company as a service fee.
