:::According to a study conducted by Gaya Herrington, a researcher at KPMG International, a study based in 1972 that predicted the collapse of human society in the next twenty years is about to become a reality. The 1972 study was conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The conclusion of that study is predicted to become a reality by 2040. Gaya Herrington concluded her study after analyzing ten key variables. Some of the variables that she studied were population, industrial output, fertility rates, pollution level, and food production.

:::According to a report by Hindustan Times, around 3,760 buses of Delhi Transport Corporation have been declared overage. A bus is declared overage after it completes eight years of continuous running on the road. Out of 3,760 overage buses, 32 buses are 8-10 years old, 3,072 buses are 10-12 years old, and 656 buses are more than 12 years old.

:::Puri, a city in Odisha, became India's first city to have safe drinking tap water. The announcement was made by the Government of Odisha. The Government also announced that safe drinking tap water would be available every day for twenty-four hours. This has been achieved as a part of the Odisha Government's Sujal-Drink From Tap Mission.

As a part of this mission, the Government has also installed drinking water fountains at four hundred places. This move has been taken to eliminate plastic water bottles.
:::The police arrested three men from Tamil Nadu for allegedly extorting money from victims. The three men would tell their victims that were caught watching porn related to sexual violence & pedophilia and were required to pay a fine of ₹3,000/- otherwise, their computers would be blocked. To make the payment, the men made a UPI QR Code available in the spam message. The accused who have been arrested are Gabriel James, Ram Kumar, and Veal Pon. Veal Pon was the mastermind of this criminal activity. The police have seized their twenty bank accounts and are working to return the money to every victim.

:::Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, announced the assistance of $25 million to India for its COVID-19 vaccination drive. The assistance from the United States of America (USA) is expected to assist India in strengthening its vaccine supply chain logistics, addressing misinformation, vaccine hesitancy, and helping to train more health care workers.

:::Devdutt Padikkal became the first 21st century born Indian cricketer to represent Team India. He made his debut in the second T20 International that was played against Sri Lanka on July 28, 2021. Devdutt Padikkal is 21-years young. He was born on July 07, 2021. The record was previously achieved by Mujeeb Ur Rahman, a player of the Afghanistan Cricket team in 2017. He remains the first male cricketer born in the 21st century to represent his country in an international match.

Other Indian players who made their debut in the second T20 international match against Sri Lanka were Ruturaj Gaikwad, Chetan Sakariya, and Nitish Rana.
:::Raj Singh Gehlot was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate for allegedly defrauding a bank loan worth ₹200 crores. Raj Singh Gehlot is the Chairman and Managing Director of Gurugram-based Ambience Mall. He has also been accused of raising Ambience Mall over 18.98 acres of property that was illegally converted from a residential property to a commercial property.

The restoration of the VFA comes as a result of the continuous tension between the Philippines and China over the disputed water in the South China Sea.
